By Plane
Delta, USAirways, Continental, United Express and Northwest make regular stops at the Charleston International Airport, a 40-minute drive from Seabrook Island. Major car rental company counters are conveniently located at the airport. Also, shuttles and taxis are available, but a car is recommended because there is no public transportation on the island.
By Car (From Charleston International Airport)
Take the airport terminal road to I-526 West, toward Savannah. Travel to the end of the expressway and turn right only Highway 17 South, continuing toward Savannah. Follow Highway 17 South approximately five miles and turn left (at Burger King) onto Main Road. Stay on Main Road for 18 miles. Main Road turns into Bohicket Road and ends at Seabrook Island.
By Car (from I-95)
Take I-26 east (toward Charleston). Travel approximately 34 miles to I-526 West, and exit right toward Savannah. Travel to the end of I-526, then turn right onto Highway 17 South, continuing toward Savannah. Travel 17 South approximately five miles and turn left (at Burger King) onto Main Road. Stay on Main Road for 18 miles. Main Road turns into Bohicket Road and ends at Seabrook Island.
By Private Airplane
Private aircraft may use the Charleston Executive Airport at John's Island just 15 minutes from Seabrook Island. It provides full service including two 5, 000-foot all weather runways.
